I am really impressed with the job Hal is doing. If the numbers weren’t so lopsided, he would be very competitive based on the effort he is making and the money he is raising.
And even as it is right now, Doug Lamborn does seem to be at least concerned.

Both of our County Commissioner candidates here in JeffCo are working extremely hard to help take the county back into Democratic hands for the first time in 20 years. They’re both walking every weekend and connecting with voters across the county. Of course, with inept opponents (at least in district 2), these races aren’t quite as competitive as one may think.
Camille Ryckman in HD-22 has a fight against Republican Ken Summers, but she’s incredibly bright and talented, and is a hard-worker to boot. Don’t be surprised if 22 is a pick-up for Ds in the house.
Definitely, but do they really qualify as Quixotic? I was under the impression they’re favored.
Both can and will probably win, but it’s still a competitive race because of the lay-out of the county.
I know quixotic, and it’s certainly not the term I would use in either of those races.

Enough examples were given during the primary to validate sexism charges against the Obama campaign and the MSM. However, I don’t believe Sen. Obama’s “lipstick on a pig” comment was aimed at Gov. Palin. Of course the comment is inherently sexist in and of itself and just because it is in common usage doesn’t excuse that.

side note – my female pit bull, Madison, who is also disabled (deaf) is very upset that she has been compared a wing nut like Palin.

Madison states she is upset because these are not the qualities of a true Pit Bull.
Madison says if she (Madison) was running for VP, she would face the press, bring on the nay sayers – Madison would stand on her principles and tell the world what she believed. Madison hides from no dog! The same can not be said for Palin.
I want to be able to show my daughter that she can do anything. Not just say it. Sarah Palin is a great role model for women all over America.

Newsweek and CNN are both reporting that Palin and her family were warned that their constant badmouthing of her former brother-in-law was akin to child abuse. If you prefer a child abuser in the White House, then that’s your choice, troll.
It doesn’t matter how horrible McCain is, he’s got that all-important [R] after his name and that trumps everything.
Then you might start, rather than by pointing to Palin’s VP candidacy, then by selecting models of integrity. There are plenty of female world leaders to point to, and frankly in retrospect Geraldine Ferraro was as well-qualified to be VP as Palin is today.
Why would you ever want to tell your daughter, “see – look at Sarah Palin. All she had to do was lie and be female, and she got all the way to the Naval Observatory.” Frankly, Palin was a better example before McCain picked her – back when her reputation as a reformer wasn’t quite so sullied by the facts.
Women have been Queens, Prime Ministers, and Presidents the world over. In any other year, against any other candidate, Hillary may very well have been in the White House come 2009. You don’t want to one-issue vote? Well, that’s what you’re doing – assuming, and I don’t believe it, that you’re really voting on this one issue.
Tuesday was war/peace but changed to women before the day ended and today’s issue appears to be women.
I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
